Montevideo: WebCam

Uruguay is the only country in the region with a 100% digital network and boasts first rate communications and data transmission systems for the development of domestic and international trade and of services oriented to satisfying customer needs. The main port terminal in Montevideo, operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, under a free port system. This allows great flexibility and dynamic cargo handling, permitting the closing of deals and a variety of operations within the customs facilities, with great benefits to goods, as established in the Law of Ports of the year 1992.

The port is strategically positioned in the area of highest economic power and trade in the Southern cone, which makes it an efficient and competitive Logistic Center for regional trade.

In May 2002, the ANP implemented a WEB CAM which can be accessed from any point on the planet, with the purpose of supplying real time information to supplement the information we will publish, also in real time, through the institutional web page, as a way of adding value to the customer follow-up of cargo.

It is located at a height of 30 meters, close to the Divisions, Port Operations, Works and Maintenance building, on the limit of the port premises on Rbla. 25 de Agosto de 1825, between Ituzaingo and Juan C. Gomez Streets. On the right of your screen you can watch the main docks of the port located on Wharves I and II.

It has excellent image definition and moving images of what is happening in the port at any moment, in real time and without interruptions.

The camera is panned by an operator horizontally up to 360° and vertically to 90° to capture the most important aspects of the operations at any given moment.

In a clear effort towards satisfying our customers, the Port of Montevideo, is working to become a development center for Uruguay and the preferred port of the region for the quality of its services.

For this purpose, we have established as our mission to administrate, preserve and develop the Port of Montevideo while generating by means of an efficient customer-oriented organization, growing and sustainable activity that will differentiate it for the quality of its services and for its contribution to excellence in the multimodal transport network.
